Dr. Nicole Stout

O.D.

Dr. Nicole Stout grew up in Canada and earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Ottawa in 2011 and her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science in 2015. She then moved to Oklahoma where she completed a Family Practice & Ocular Disease Residency at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry where she gained extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular disease and acute optometric care.

Following the completion of her residency training, Dr. Stout remained on faculty as an Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry until 2022, when she & her husband (a native Texan) relocated to Texas. Dr. Stout joined Cheyne Eye Center in 2023.

Dr. Stout is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. She is committed to providing full-scope optometric care and is especially passionate about treating dry eye syndrome and fitting specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Stout is dedicated to providing the highest quality optometric care to her patients by staying up-to-date and active in optometric continuing education. She has lectured at continuing education conferences and has publications in several optometric magazines & journals including Review of Optometry, Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses, Advanced Ocular Care, Optometric Management, and Clinical and Experimental Optometry. Dr. Stout became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2017.

Dr. Stout enjoys traveling, fitness, and spending time with her husband and two basset hounds.
